I wanted to make a cushion to match the mandala blanket I made, colourwise anyway. I came across this free pattern to download on facebook and thought it looked very effective.
The pattern was easy enough so why did I struggle with it to start with? I kept either losing a stitch or gaining one on each round and had no idea how.
So I made a few notes on the pattern, started again and it was a breeze and flowed like a flower in a sunny afternoon breeze. It was so therapeutic to make up that I had to stop myself continuing round and round and round. I had to think about stuffing it that’s the only reason I stopped (TeeHee)
The back was very simply rounds in the same colours to match the back of the front (make sense? good!) using the same increasing rows to keep the size consistent.
I’m just loving these seasonal colours at the minute they feel so warm and cosy. Once I’d finished it I found myself sat with it on my knee stroking my hands over the petals it feels amazing. It would make a great 3D blanket which is something I may have to consider at some point, as well as many more cushions as I can in different colours scattered throughout the house.
Ahhhh so many things to make and very little time it seems again, loving having my crojo back and sharing with you lovely lot again.

It looks lovely! Very textured – I never do 3D cushion covers myself, should try it sometime.
Also, I understand – I’ve for some reason been having a crazy time just trying to crochet basic things and constantly finding myself with extra stitches at random, trying to figure out what the hell I was doing!

Sometimes your brain and hands just forget what they’re doing!
