I hope you have all had a good weekend?
It started great with an England win in the football and as it stands they are going to continue with their winning streak (fingers crossed).
Football aside it’s been a busy crochet weekend for me, I had ago on some software to make a pattern and managed to get a sample printed off so watch this space for that progress. I went and fetched all the wool ready yesterday and a little excited to see if it works. If so I will be purchasing the software to start work on my own designs.
The pig is so cute and teeny, you can see from the picture against my hand of how small and cute it is. He was really quick and easy to make up, helps when there are no colour changes, It took me about an hour and half in total. You could make up a family by changing your hook size if you want to have a go.
The owl I have made before so I knew what to expect, but still forgot the hardest part is the last bit. So if I ever have to do him again I will ensure I do the feet first to get them out of the way. They’re so fiddly as you start with 3 separate toes which have to come together to make the full foot. Not good with long nails I might add ha ha.
This does mean that my Temperature Blanket is behind a few days so I’m going to go and catch up while I watch the second half of the England game.
Let me know what you’ve been working on this weekend, love to hear what exciting things people are working on, whatever it may be.
Happy Hooking Peeps

Happy Friday Everyone, mine hasn’t stated so happy with a nasty migraine out of the blue but seems to be easing now thankfully. So let me introduce you to Harry the Hedgehog. I love this little fellow, the crochet pattern was purchased from Etsy from Mariska Vos-Bolman at DIYFluffies and what a great pattern it is too. Easy to follow and quick to make up. Thank you Mariska, go take a look at her shop, I for one will be going back.
I made a few alterations to mine by adding a safety nose instead of a crochet one and I didn’t sew the overhang over the head and belly, only because I liked him as he was.
Do you like him?
He is a further addition to a wildlife set I am putting together for a donation to a local wildlife trust via a third-party event, watch this space for what animal comes next.
My second passion is wildlife so there is nothing better for me than this.
Have a lovely weekend whatever you have planned, and if you spot any wildlife on this official first weekend of spring then pop me a photo in the comments for inspiration.

Sally the Swan, she wasn’t a graceful make I assure you fingers and thumbs everywhere during the crochet project.
Pattern from the book Zoomigurumi 6 written by Pica Pau – Yan Schenkel. The pattern itself is mother and baby but baby may have to wait a while.
Worth all the fiddly bits though. If you do plan to make this (and why wouldn’t you) ensure that you don’t fix the safety eyes until you have done a few rows of the back of the body first. The head and body are one piece so this will enable you to position them correctly, you will notice that mine is slightly off even though I wanted its appearance to be looking down to her baby.
Wings – stitch count is essential to making the wings symmetrical once fixed to the body, you will notice if it is a stitch or two out.
I do love her though and must do her cygnet soon, watch this space.
Well Tinycorns, that was my focus last weekend with an order for two of them, both with different colour briefs but both as equally amazing. So after the unicorn cot blanket Bringing a life…. last month, I’m seeing rainbows myself.
Why are we obsessed with these magical creatures? They are everywhere and on everything at the moment adding a little magic to everything we do.
Some people believe that if you find your unicorn it will lead to your rainbow, which leads to your pot of gold in life. Have you found yours? Is this why we are obsessed by them? Are we striving for the perfect dream to come true? You’ve got to dream right other wise what are you going to strive for
Some other people would argue that if you are seeing unicorns and rainbows you should lay off them drugs for a while, but is that what they are striving for at that point in their lives? who knows. All I know is that they have become extremely popular so once I made my first Tinycorn there has been lots more that followed, and I love making them.
The brief for the two I did last weekend was 1. Girly Pink, PINK and more PIIIINNNNKKKK so that is what I did, all pink with white hoofs and horn, pink mane with a few rainbow highlights.
2. Girly but not all pink so I went for white with bright pink hoofs and horn then a full on rainbow for a mane. It’s actually the mane that takes up all the time as you have to attach each strand individually and this can take a while. Then you have to make the decision to brush it out or leave it, brushing out with a clean copper bristled brush makes it fluffy. I decided to leave it then customer can do it if they wish.
Oh the magic of Unicorns and Rainbows, Follow your dreams and enjoy your journey.

Good Evening, I know I said I would blog more for you but I didn’t expect it to be straight away, I just couldn’t contain my excitement. So the white stuff known as Snow is covering the UK, with more set to come over night and the next few days. How much have you had? and who now dreads to hear the words snow on the weather forecast? I know I do, although I never really enjoyed as a child either but it’s worse now, even though we had it a lot worse than we do now, anyone else?
We didn’t have much but with temperatures plummeting to leave Ice and frozen snow still in places you know what that means don’t you? Yes, on day 30, I finally got to change colour on my Temperature Blanket. I couldn’t wait to finally get home out of the cold, turn the heating up, get the PJ’s on, lock the door on the cold, continue with my current Audiobook “A Secret History of Witches” and add a new colour. It was the first thing I did sat with a nice warm cuppa. I fear it will back to the usual colourings for the last 30 days but hey I got some blue in there YES!!
I also mastered decreasing last night and I will soon have a complete square, administering self pat on the back, I cannot actually believe how easy I now find it. Why is it with certain things we can try and try and fail numerous times, but then suddenly it clicks? Anyway I’m loving it, I will then need to decide on a border for it, best start searching through my book stash for inspiration.
WIP Discovered – Panic set in!
How can you forget a work in progress?
I have never done that, ever, is it my age? Should I be worried?
I completely forgot that I had started some amigurumi last year, I went to my crochet bag to store my new yarn away from my inquisitive cat, who clearly approved go my new purchase. PANIC! I must finish it, I have to confess to having OCD when it comes to amigurumi, I have to finish them as soon as I can. Not sure why? any other projects I can switch between them as to not get bored but not when I am making toys or animals. Anyone else the same?
What am I?
